Wireless Modbus replaces traditional RTU cable

  • W-Modbus is a wireless development of the proven Modbus standard. Within the wireless Modbus RTU network, wired products can be easily replaced by wireless devices. The standardized Modbus protocol is retained, and signals are transmitted with low latency.

Thanks to mesh topology, up to 100 devices can be assigned to a W-Modbus gateway.

Title

  • Rymaskon 1000 - Interface

    The interface (room operating unit) is used to display and set actual and setpoint values for a room. The values are made available to the building management system (BMS) via the Modbus or W-Modbus interface.

    Temperature setpoint and ventilation levels, as well as sun protection and lighting, can be set by the user directly on the device or specified by the BMS.

  • Rymaskon 1000 - Controller

    The controller variants also have integrated controllers which control all common actuators, damper drives or fans directly via the outputs, and can therefore be used as stand-alone devices. All values are made available to the building management system (BMS) via the Modbus or W-Modbus interface. If required, the BMS can intervene at short notice during operation and adjust parameters, or prevent manual operation by the user by blocking individual functions.

Is wireless communication possible?

Thanks to the latest W-Modbus technology, Rymaskon devices can also be integrated wirelessly into the building automation system. Expanding existing networks with W-Modbus is no problem either - up to 100 devices can be assigned to a W-Modbus gateway in the network. The wireless range is up to 500 meters - even bridging critical elements such as fire doors is no problem. Simple installation and immediate commissioning also save you time and money.

Isn't it expensive to integrate W-Modbus?

No! Our devices come with a €40 surcharge for the W-Modbus module. This is a small price to pay for the advantages of wireless installation.
What's more, installation does not need to be carried out by specialist personnel, as only the power supply needs to be ensured. Configuration is then carried out via the W-Modbus wireless connection.
